Mexico (Part 1) – Family Vacation

This is just a HANDFUL of the pictures I took in Mexico.  I usually like to organize the storyboard a bit better, but if I went in order this post would only include 1/2 a day of our 7 days in Playa.  So here’s a smorgasborg of unrelated pics to take peak at.   Part 2 will be posted on Monday !

In January, my parents, and some extended family allllll met in Playa del Carmen for a little post-xmas get-a-way.  We all arrived in Mexico and departed at varying times over a period of 2 weeks.  My parents were there the entire time, but we only went for the last week.  My dad’s sister, Dianne flew down the same time as my family and my brother’s family.  My Auntie Maureen, Uncle Brian and cousins, Aaron and Liam were there to greet us.  We only spent 3 days with them before their week was up and they had to leave.

I highly recommend this kind of vacation.  We could visit as much as we wanted and then when we got sick of eachother, we just went our sepearate ways. ha! It was perfect!

I was a little concerned, taking a toddler on a tropical vacation.  I mean, the idea of an all-inclusive get-a-way is to relax? But our little one just LOVED it.  Every morning she would wake up and yell “WATER, WATER…,” pointing to the ocean.  We’ve shown her some of these pictures since we got back and this look of overwelming sadness comes over her face as she point to the screen, her yells turned to a whisper….”w-a-t-e-r”.

Needless to say, we’ve had to take her to the pool more than a couple of times since we’ve been home.
